The Lake Martin Retreat is a charming home that offers a cozy space that sleeps up to 6 adults plus 2 children.
Sleeping Areas: we provide all linens and comfortable bedding.
- BEDROOM 1 (main level): 1 queen bed, luggage rack, direct access to the main floor bathroom, and a laptop friendly work space
- BEDROOM 2 (upper level): 2 twin beds and another laptop friendly work space
- BEDROOM 3 (upper level): 4 twin size bunk beds (top bunks for kids only)
Bathrooms: we provide towels (bath towel, hand towel, and washcloths) and quality and sustainable personal care products from Public Goods (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, hand soap).
- BATHROOM 1: full bath (bathtub)
- BATHROOM 2: 3/4 bath (standing shower)
Kitchen: fully stocked with pots, pans, utensils, and spices. We also provide an initial supply of Keurig coffee pods, creamer, tea, trash bags and a Brita pitcher to filter the hard rural water. (Please note - there is NO DISHWASER at the property!)
Entertainment: You can enjoy a variety of board games, smart ROKU TV, kayak, a variety of float toys and community fire pits.
Living Room/Dining Area: enjoy a great open space with vaulted ceiling and direct view of Martin Lake.
Back Deck: there is an outdoor dining area that seats four. At night turn off the porch lights to stargaze.
Parking: each reservation comes with 2 parking spots in the community parking lot. NO TRAILERS ALLOWED.
*For your safety and ours, the home is equipped with a security camera near the entrance door facing the parking lot.
Other Details to Note
AREA: the property is less than 8 miles to downtown Gaylord and 5 miles to the closest gas station. Gaylord has a wide range of restaurants and shops. Gaylord's historic Alpine Village is home to independently-owned shops for a truly one-of-a-kind dining and shopping experience.
AC: Oversized AC unit is installed in the living room and we do provide fans for every bedroom. We encourage guests to open the windows to help with air circulation.
WASHER/DRYER: due to septic tank limitation, only a single load is allowed per stay
* Main guest must be 21 years old to book.
* The retreat is in a quiet and secluded community area, so no parties, no events, nor loud noises (Quiet Hours: 11 pm to 9 am).
* The property is located in a wooded area, so you may see and hear bugs, furry critters of all sizes (including but not limited to deer, squirrels, and rodents), and reptiles. Our property has regularly scheduled pest control, however, we cannot guarantee that any such critters will not be visible in and around the property. Please try to keep the doors closed, do not leave food outside to prevent entry of unwanted critters. Also do not feed any wildlife as they are wild animals. No refunds will be provided if a local critter visits the property.
